The Northbrook Men’s Connection is gearing up for the 2011-2012 season and looking forward to another exceptional year. Weekly meetings of the group provide a venue for men’s Bible study as well as a valuable communication link for volunteer service, church and congregational needs and our spiritual growth. We need to continue this work at Northbrook.
This fall we will be taking a look at James W. Moore’s book, When the World Takes the Wind out of your Sails. “Sometimes the tough and painful problems of life can rise up suddenly and knock us flat. Sometimes, when we least expect it, the world can take the wind out of our sails.” Even then, we can be courageous because we know that God is always with us and will see us through.
On Thursday mornings at 7:30 8:00 in Fellowship Hall, the Men’s Connection will be discovering that, as we deal with the troubles of this world, “God will help us to know the courage and faith and blessed assurance that come only from trust in our Lord and Savior, the One who has overcome the world. “
